# Tone of voice intake

Answer these questions. Together your answers form your writing profile, which you paste into your global settings. If you would rather have your voice derived from your own emails, use the tone of voice skill (see skills/tone-of-voice-skill-info.md) and complete this list afterwards.

## Who you write for
1. Who reads your texts most often? (clients, suppliers, colleagues, a mix)
2. What is your relationship? Formal, businesslike and warm, informal?
3. Do you address people by first name or by surname?

## How you want to sound
4. Name three words that match how you want to come across.
5. Name three words that do not suit you at all.
6. What do you want a reader to feel or do after your text?

## What fits and what does not
7. Which words or expressions do you use often and recognise as "really yours"?
8. Which words or styles do you deliberately avoid?
9. How long are your texts usually? Short and direct, or fuller?

## Examples from your own work
10. Paste two or three passages from emails or messages that you think sound right.
11. If you have one, paste an example that did not feel right, with the reason why.

## Result
Summarise your answers in five to eight lines: this is how I write. You paste that block under "My tone of voice" in CLAUDE-global-template.md.
